Output pcap_file
The output pcap_file will save packets into a file.
Parameters
| Name | Default value | Description |
|---|---|---|
| filename | out.pcap | PCAP file name. |
| filter | Filter to match specific packets. See packet filter documentation for more info. | |
| protocol | ethernet | What type of frame to save in the pcap file. Possible values are : ethernet for ethernet frames, raw for ipv4 packets, docsis for DOCSIS packets and 80211 for wireless packets. |
| snaplen | 1550 | Maximum stored size of packets. |
| unbuffered | no | When set to yes, the packets will directly be written on the disk. This can be useful in some cases but will slow performances. |
